What is Langworthy Live?

A community music festival in the heart of Salford with bands and artists playing the shops, businesses and community centres in Langworthy and surrounding areas.

How much is it?

£5 per person (plus 50p booking fee) you’ll be given an wristband at the event on production of your ticket and you get access to all the venues and performances over the whole day.

When is it?

This years festival will be on Saturday 16th September from 2pm till late. Previous festivals have been over two evenings but this year we're trying something different!

Who is performing?

Local artists from around Salford and Manchester.

I'm in a band/I'm a musician, can I play?

Of course! Go to Get Involved and apply there.

Do performers get paid?

Unfortunately not. Langworthy Live is run by volunteers as an opportunity to fundraise for Lifecentre Salford, to bring some joy to Langworthy and to have a lot of fun. All volunteers (performers and production) do get fed and receive drinks vouchers as a thank you for your time. We understand that bills have to be paid and this might not be for everyone which is totally fine! Thank you for taking an interest in the festival

Hungry like the wolf?

Fancy a bite to eat or drink? Langworthy has plenty of options that are open late. Check out our programme for suggestions or take a walk down Langworthy Road or Liverpool Street. (Pre-booking may be required for Meu Portugal)

Who is the Lifecentre and why support them?

The Lifecentre has been supporting the community of Langworthy for over 20 years (2020 was actually their 20th anniversary). The money raised via ticket sales will go towards their vital work in our community by supporting the breakfast club, counselling sessions and holiday clubs.
